Nanda Gonzague studied at the Nicephore Image Center in Montpellier, France. A decisive training course in the Rapho agency, with whom he worked for three years, allowed him to discover the world of photo agencies. In 2002, he co-founded the Collective of photographers Transit. For several years he was involved in personal works, his interested mostly focusing on construction and dislocation of societies and people. His own projects are diffused in the press, magazines, exhibitions or screenings. His long term work about Armenia was exhibited in Rome for the Fotoleggendo Festival in 2008, Festival Promenades Photographique de Vendome in 2012, Paris Photo in 2012, and several screenings: Tbilisi Open Air Photo Fest (Georgia, 2010), Les Rencontres de Arles/Night of the year (Arles, 2009, 2012). He works regularly with French and international press. In addition, he ran numerous photographic workshops in Armenia, France, Spain etc. In 2013, he was given a grant by the French National Centre of Plastic Arts for a new project about Ethiopian society in transition. In 2014, he presented his project Hayastan at the Nicéphore Nièpce Museum in Chalon sur Saône (France). From 2009 to 2019, he conducted numerous workshops for the C.R.O.U.S de Montpellier and led classes at the ESJ PRO (Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme) or CLEMI.

In 2015, After 13 years of shared adventures, he left Transit collective to focus on his personal projects. He launched the release of the book Hayastan, published by sun/sun editions. Starting at the end of 2015, he took part in La France Vue d’Ici (Médiapart/ImageSingulières) to realise a project focusing on asbestos in France, lasting until 2016, which will mark the 20th anniversary of the banning of asbestos in France. A book published by Editions de La Martinière and an exhibition are launched at spring 2017. In January 2019, he joined Divergence Images for the diffusion of his works and archives. Between 2019 and 2021 he led several photographic residencies in Dunkirk, Larzac (Aveyron) and Lozère. His latest book Un Quartier Français was released by Créaphis editions in January 2022.

Nanda Gonzague étudie au Centre d’Image Nicéphore Nièpce à Montpellier, puis un stage décisif à l’agence Rapho avec qui il collabore durant trois ans lui permet de découvrir le monde des agences de presse au contact de Mark Grosset, Francine Deroudille, Chantal Soler, etc. En 2002, il cofonde le Collectif Transit avec qui il travaille étroitement pendant 13 ans. Pendant toutes ces années, Nanda Gonzague s’investit dans des travaux personnels tournés vers l’homme, les phénomènes de construction et de dislocation identitaires, territoriaux. Vivre en Sevesie, Hayastan, Ethiopia Lost in transition et Une Histoire Francaise de l'Amiante sont plusieurs projets qu’il mène dans cette perspective. On peut voir ses travaux personnels sous forme d’exposition, de diaporama, programmés dans différents festivals en France ou à l’étranger. En parallèle il travaille régulièrement avec la presse nationale et internationale. Depuis plusieurs années, il anime de nombreux projets tournés vers des publics variés. En 2008, il est invité à animer un workshop de photographie en Arménie pour le Civil Society Institute. De 2009 à 2019, il conduit de nombreux ateliers pour le C.R.O.U.S de Montpellier et anime des cours au sein de l'Ecole Supérieure de Journalisme ou encore du CLEMI. En 2013, il reçoit une bourse du Centre National des Arts Plastiques pour mener un projet sur l’Éthiopie en Transition. En 2014, il est invité au Musée Nicéphore Nièpce à Chalon sur Saône pour présenter son travail sur l’Arménie.

En 2015, Nanda Gonzague quitte le collectif Transit après 13 ans d’aventures partagées pour se consacrer pleinement à ses projets personnels. Il prépare la sortie du livre Hayastan édité par sun/sun éditions. Enfin, dans le cadre de La France Vue d’Ici (Médiapart/Images Singulières), il mène un projet sur l’amiante en France jusqu’en 2016, année qui marque les 20 ans de l’interdiction de l’amiante dans l’hexagone. Une exposition et un livre aux Editions de La Martinière sont lancés au printemps 2017. 
En janvier 2019, il rejoint Divergence Images pour la diffusion de ses travaux et archives. Entre 2019 et 2021 il mène plusieurs résidences photographiques à Dunkerque, sur le Larzac (Aveyron) et en Lozère.
Son dernier livre Un Quartier Français sort chez Créaphis éditions en janvier 2022.
